A New Eco-Year

>> 1/28/09

Oh hello blog. I have to admit that I have neglected you for far too long. I have been distracted as the world as I know it has changed. We have a new president who is already passing eco-legislation and being labeled a “green bully”. I only hope that one day I will be put in that same category. You say bully, I say shut up and go recycle something ( jk…sorta). With all these distractions, I have to admit that I have let my green drive stall a bit. The holidays weren’t the “greenest” they could be. I had planned on making gifts and buying things that were eco-friendly. I ended up attacking Ross and buying lots of cloths for everyone. Honestly, I just did not have the energy or time to devout to handcrafts. I also know that last year when I bought green gifts, my friends and family did not really enjoy my selections. I mean what is wrong with reusable bags, CFLS and green cleaners? It’s boring as hell for the non-eco. So after the holidays came the life changing news that I was growing a baby in my belly. So now I’m going green for two. No pressure!! It seems really daunting with all those poopy non-biodegradeable diapers I can’t exactly recycle. So I’m really needing a green kick in the but to jumpstart some meaningful action.
